An evolving brand
The Visa brand is changing. Over the next few years, you will see that the Visa cards you accept have a new look with a more contemporary Visa logo.
We have revised the Visa logo to keep it relevant in an age of electronic communication and commerce. Years of research told us that cardholders look primarily for the word Visa, which is why we have concentrated on it. The revised logo is both more modern and more visible, which means that your customers will be able to spot your Visa signs or decals more easily.
Our research also shows that people instantly recognise that they can use their old-style Visa cards in shops featuring new-style decals, which they like better than the old version. They also understand that they can use new-style cards in shops with old-style decals.
The change has allowed us to redesign Visa cards to make the Visa logo appear more prominent and to bring Visa Electron branding into line with branding on the rest of the Visa family of cards. The cards have also been updated with the latest features to provide added security for you and your cardholders. The changes mean that more people will be using their Visa cards more frequently in your shops.
The revised branding will become more and more common over the next few months and years. By 2010, almost all the Visa cards you see will carry the refreshed Visa mark.
To take advantage of the sales boost the new Visa branding brings, please contact the bank that signed you up to accept Visa — your acquirer — and ask for new signage.
